Dr. Kalava is the founder and the medical director of TampaPainMD.

He is a Double Board Certified, Mayo Clinic Acute Pain & Regional Anesthesia Fellowship trained Anesthesiologist. After his fellowship, he has been exclusively practicing in Tampa. He has clinical privileges at Tampa General Hospital & HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. Dr. Kalava sees patients from Tampa and beyond. He is the Founder and Chair of American Society for Post Surgical Pain (ASPSP).

Dr. Kalava performs ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and teaches anesthesiologists and pain physicians from around the world how to advance their skills and provide better care to their patients using an ultrasound through his educational company www.UltrasoundExperts.org.
